Celebrating Phoebe: A Gentle End-of-Life Dog Photography Session in Summerlin

Falling Rocks Photography Offers Free End-of-Life Photos for Pets

Forever a Good Girl: Phoebe’s Morning in Summerlin (And Why Pet Legacy Sessions Matter)

There is a specific kind of heartbreak that comes with saying goodbye to a pet. They aren't just animals; they are the keepers of our daily routines, the silent comforts during our worst days, and our absolute truest friends.

Because I am a massive animal lover through and through, I hold a sacred space in my heart and my business for end-of-life pet photography. I offer these legacy sessions completely free of charge. No strings attached, no hidden catch. It is simply my way of putting a little good back into the world and making sure that a dog’s final chapters are captured with the dignity, peace, and love they deserve.

When it comes to these sessions, all my usual rules go out the window. There is absolutely no time limit. We move entirely at the dog’s pace. If they need to rest, we rest. If they need a break for treats or a nap, we wait.

Beating the Heat for Phoebe

For sweet Phoebe’s session, we met up early in the morning over in the Summerlin area. Las Vegas summers are no joke, and when you have a senior pup who isn't feeling 100%, beating the heat isn’t just a comfort choice—it’s a safety necessity.

We started our morning at a quiet, shaded park in Summerlin, letting Phoebe take in the fresh morning air and explore the grass at her own leisure.

One of my absolute favorite parts of Phoebe's session happened right inside the car. Her owner told me that Phoebe had always been the ultimate co-pilot and travel buddy. She spent her life riding shotgun, head out the window, watching the world go by.

So, naturally, that's exactly where we needed to take some photos. Capturing Phoebe in her element—curled up comfortably in the seat where she had spent so many happy miles—was incredibly moving. It’s those specific, everyday details that we miss the most, and I wanted to make sure her family had those visuals forever.

We captured three generations of love that morning: a mother, a daughter, and the incredibly good girl who held them all together.

To Phoebe's family, thank you for trusting me with her memory. And to Phoebe—thank you for being the best travel buddy a family could ever ask for.

A Note on My Free Legacy Pet Sessions

Because I believe no one should have to choose between financial peace and preserving the memory of their best friend, these sessions are 100% complimentary. They feature a completely open timeline, a stress-free environment tailored entirely to your pet's energy levels, and an open-door policy for any family members who want to be included. If you are facing this difficult transition, please reach out directly through my Contact Page.

Legacy Session FAQ

Are these pet sessions really completely free? +

Yes, absolutely. I am a massive animal lover, and offering these end-of-life sessions is my gift to our local pet community. There are no hidden fees, session fees, or image-purchasing requirements. You will receive a beautiful digital gallery of your pup to keep forever.

Who can be included in the photos? +

Anyone and everyone who loved your pet. Whether you want solo portraits of your dog, photos of them with you, or shots featuring extended family (like Phoebe’s session with her owner and grandmother!), everyone is welcome to be a part of the memory.

How long does the session take? +

There is absolutely no time limit. Senior or ailing dogs dictate the timeline. We move purely at their pace, stopping for as many treats, rests, or water breaks as they need. We stop whenever you or your pup feel ready.
