Back in October, I had the pleasure of photographing the very first winner of my “You Deserve It” Giveaway—Christina! She chose to share her prize with her partner Elijah, and together, they decided to do a couple’s session in one of my favorite places in Las Vegas: the Downtown Arts District.
If you’ve been in Vegas long enough, you know that mid-October is prime desert weather. It’s that sweet spot where the scorching summer heat is finally behind us, but you don’t need a jacket yet. Perfect for photos and perfect for exploring!
Meet Christina & Elijah
Christina and Elijah are both originally from California but have been calling Las Vegas home for about a year now. They’ve fallen in love with the city’s vibrant art, food, and culture—and when it came time to pick a spot for their session, they immediately knew the Arts District was the place to go.
I mean, I can’t blame them. The Downtown Arts District is so much fun for photos. Everywhere you turn, there’s something bold, colorful, and completely unique. Murals line the walls of old buildings, creating the perfect mix of urban charm and artistic flair. There’s texture, light, and a whole lot of personality—just like Christina and Elijah.
The Session
We spent the afternoon wandering through the district, stopping at murals that caught our eye. I always say photo sessions are a mix of planned and spontaneous, and that’s exactly what happened here. Christina and Elijah brought such an easygoing, fun energy to the shoot. Whether it was posing in front of a giant rainbow wall, stealing a kiss in front of a vibrant blue mural, or laughing together in the golden sunlight, they truly made the session their own.
One of my favorite moments? The way Christina and Elijah looked at each other. You know that kind of look where you can feel the connection between two people? Yeah, that’s them. It’s the little glances, the way they made each other laugh, and the way they just clicked in every shot.
The photos are full of personality, color, and love—exactly what I hope for every session.
