Is there anything better than cozy sweaters, holiday vibes, and dogs in matching outfits? (Spoiler: nope. There’s not.)
This holiday season, I had the absolute joy of photographing the cutest couple and their two pups, Nova and Honey, at Hemenway Park in Boulder City. And yes, there were matching sweaters. All four of them. Honestly, this might be the kind of festive energy we should carry into every season.
The session was full of laughter, snuggles, and a little extra excitement—because Hemenway Park is known for its local celebrity wildlife: the bighorn sheep. While we were nowhere near them (always respectful of distance and safety!), the dogs definitely noticed the big fuzzy “friends” in the background. Let’s just say we got a few curious head tilts and some high-alert ears that were prime for the camera.
What I loved most about this session—besides the adorable holiday outfits—was how relaxed and fun it felt. Just a little family, in their favorite sweaters, soaking up the sunshine and sweet desert scenery. It was cozy. It was joyful. It was very “Nevada winter,” and I am so here for it.
📍 Whether you're based in Boulder City, down the hill in Henderson, or visiting from Las Vegas, sessions like this are a reminder that you don’t need a big production to make magic—you just need your people (and maybe your pups in matching knitwear).
If you’ve been thinking about family photos—human, furry, or both—I offer sessions as short as 30 minutes and always work to make them feel natural, fun, and so you.
Let’s capture the everyday magic—holiday sweaters and all. 🐾🎄✨
