  • Las Vegas Elopement FAQs

Have a question you don't see the answer for? Send me a message!

How much does it cost to elope in Las Vegas?

Eloping in Las Vegas is budget-friendly compared to traditional weddings. The marriage license costs around $102, and many chapels or outdoor locations offer simple ceremonies starting at $100–$500. Add photography, florals, and any extras, and most couples spend between $1,000 and $5,000 for everything.

How much does a photographer cost for a Vegas elopement?

Elopement photography in Las Vegas typically ranges from $300 and up, depending on coverage, experience, and extras like editing or multiple locations. I offer flexible pricing for both locals and out-of-town couples—check my current packages or reach out for a custom quote.

Do I need a permit to elope at Red Rock Canyon or other scenic spots?

Yes. Many outdoor locations like Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and Lake Mead require permits for weddings and professional photography. I can guide you through the process or recommend locations that are permit-free or easy to secure.

Can we choose our own elopement location?

Yes! Whether you want to exchange vows at a famous Las Vegas landmark, a quiet desert spot, a classic Vegas chapel, or somewhere totally unique like the Neon Museum or the Punk Rock Museum, I’m happy to photograph wherever feels right for you. If you don’t see your dream location listed, just ask—I love discovering new places with my couples!

Can we do photos in more than one location?

Yes! Multi-location sessions are popular in Vegas! You can pair a chapel ceremony with photos on the Strip, Fremont Street, in the desert, or at a scenic spot like the Mob Museum. I’ll help plan a route that makes the most of your time.

What’s the difference between an elopement and a micro-wedding?

An elopement is typically just the couple (and maybe a witness), while a micro-wedding includes up to 30–50 guests. Both are intimate and meaningful, but elopements tend to be shorter and more spontaneous. I photograph both!

Can you recommend photo spots for our Vegas elopement?

Absolutely! I offer a variety of location ideas based on lighting, accessibility, and your style. Whether you're into nature, city vibes, or something unconventional—I’ve got suggestions ready.

Do you offer behind-the-scenes or social media content?

Yes! I offer behind-the-scenes video clips and TikTok-style content so you don’t need to hire a separate content creator. Just let me know ahead of time that you’d like that included. Most of my elopement packages already come with it! It’s a fun way to relive the day and share it in real-time or right after.

Can we include our pets in the elopement photos?

Absolutely! Pets are part of the family, and I love when couples include their dogs (or even cats!) in their elopement. Just double-check your ceremony location allows animals and bring some treats!

Is photography allowed inside Las Vegas hotels and casinos?

Photography is usually allowed in public areas outside the casinos, but not inside the gaming floors or private hotel interiors. Some locations require prior approval or permits. I’ll guide you on where we can and can’t shoot legally.

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ elopements in Las Vegas?

100% yes. I’m honored to work with all couples, but especially the girlies and gays! I proudly offer inclusive elopement photography and celebrate every unique story.

Do you recommend other vendors like officiants or florists?

Yes! I’ve worked with some amazing local officiants, florists, hair and makeup artists, and chapels. I’m happy to share a curated list of trusted vendors I know and love.

Can we bring guests and kids to our elopement?

Of course! Whether it’s just the two of you or a few close friends and family, I can tailor the session to fit. I also love kiddos! Just let me know how many people you’re inviting so we can plan accordingly.

Do you offer elopement photography on the Las Vegas Strip?

Yes! I love capturing the energy of the Strip. From the Bellagio fountains to outside the Venetian to the Las Vegas sign. I’ll help plan your session to avoid crowds and get the best lighting.

How long should we book you for?

That depends on your vision! If you just want ceremony coverage, 30 minutes is usually perfect. For most elopements—including the ceremony, portraits, and a little exploring—1 to 2 hours is ideal. Want multiple locations or getting ready coverage? I also offer extended elopement packages to fit your day.

Do you offer elopement packages for out-of-town or international couples?

Yes! I work with many destination and international couples and offer flexible elopement packages that fit your travel schedule, timeline, and budget. Whether you're flying in from across the country or overseas, I provide location suggestions, tips for getting your marriage license, and helpful guides to make planning from afar easy and stress-free.

Which Las Vegas chapels allow outside photographers for free?

Several modern chapels in Las Vegas welcome outside photographers at no extra cost. Some of the most popular include:

    • Sure Thing Chapel
    • Sure Thing Chapel Too
    • That Chapel Downtown
    • A Little White Wedding Chapel

These venues are photographer-friendly and perfect for couples who want consistent, high-quality photos. I’ve worked at all of them and can help you navigate the booking process!

How long does the whole elopement process take in Vegas?

The full process—from picking up your marriage license to saying "I do"—can take as little as a few hours, especially if you're prepared. Most couples spend 30–60 minutes at the Marriage License Bureau, followed by a quick ceremony and photo session. Add more time if you’re planning multiple photo locations or extra events.

Do we need to bring witnesses to our elopement?

Nope! In Nevada, you only need one witness, and I can serve as your witness if needed. Many chapels and officiants also provide a witness if you're eloping just the two of you. It's one less thing to stress about.

What’s the weather like in Vegas, and how does it affect my elopement?

Las Vegas has 300+ sunny days a year, which makes it perfect for elopements. Summers are hot (100°F+), so early morning or evening ceremonies are best. Fall and spring are more mild and popular for outdoor photos. Winter can be chilly but still sunny—perfect for cozy elopements. I always work with the lighting and heat to make sure you look amazing, no matter the season!

Should we combine our elopement with a mini honeymoon in Vegas?

Absolutely! Vegas is made for romantic getaways. You can elope in the desert, have a champagne toast on the Strip, and see a show or dine at a top restaurant—all in the same day. Whether you stay for the weekend or extend your trip, Las Vegas offers plenty of honeymoon-worthy experiences.

Do you photograph half or full day weddings?

Yes I do! Contact me for a personalized quote.

How do we receive our photos?

You’ll receive a personal online gallery with both high-resolution and web-size images, ready to download and use right away. Your gallery will come with easy-to-follow instructions for downloading, plus recommendations for where to print if you want physical copies. Additional editing or file formats are always available upon request.
